NYC Day 2

Hello there lovelies, today's blog post is about my second day in NYC. We started off with a little bit of shopping in Soho, in Topshop (how ironic...) and Brandy Melville, before hopping in a cab to the pier to catch a boat trip around the harbour. Unless you're desperate to see Ellis Island, there are at least 3 boat companies in the harbour who run boat tours - it took about an hour and was a really good way to see the city. Be warned, though: if you go in the summer like me, remember to wear suncream, otherwise you'll end up with sunburn like me...

In the afternoon, we headed to the 9/11 Memorial - make sure you buy tickets in advance to skip the queues. The actual memorial doesn't take too long to see - we only spent 30-40 minutes there, but it is definitely worth it.

In the evening we headed for dinner at Marseille, a French bistro on 9th Avenue, which was busy - even at 6pm, when we were there. Afterwards we headed to Times Square to see the big lights, then we were off to Broadway to see Chicago. This was our last evening in the city and we headed to bed weary, but raring for some shopping the next day.

NYC Day 3 is coming up next Friday!

Love, peace and chocolate,
